In order to provide products that better meet customers’ demands, we are dedicated to develop R&D innovation and protect R&D results. The operation status of the intellectual property management plan repots as the followings:


Responsible units and management content


The legal staff is Responsible to assist in the management of intellectual property rights, the execution content as the followings:
1. Ensure the organization's awareness of intellectual property management policies and goals.
2. Ensure that the processes required for the intellectual property management system are established, implemented and maintained.
3. Ensure that the aforementioned processes achieve the expected outcome.
4. Report to the top management on the performance of the intellectual property management system and the needs for improvement.
5. When planning or implementing a changed intellectual property management system, ensure its integrity and consistency.


Executive Situation


1. Staff Management
  1. Hold regular educational training (code of integrity, code of ethical conduct, trade Secrets, etc.) to remind employees that the EOI's confidential information should not be disclosed to third parties.

Stage 1 : R&D engineers and engineering Stage 2: includes r manufacturing department, quality control department, sales department ,PM department, operations team, support team.

  1. Sign confidentiality and non-completion agreements with current and former employees.
  2. Job Description regulates the job content, the procedures and methods of handling work, the process of accessing and using confidential documents, and the review process.
  3. In order to reduce the risk of EOI, the product production process are known and managed by different senior executives and employees.


2. Affairs Management
  1. Depending on the importance and confidentiality of confidential documents (items), they are kept by employees of different grades.
  2. Entering the confidential control area, employees are prohibited from carrying mobile phones, cameras or devices with scanning functions...etc.
  3. Confidential documents (electronic files) that have been deleted or destroyed cannot be recovered.
  4. Unauthorized employees are prohibited from entering the area where confidential documents are placed.
  5. Confidential documents (or items) must be kept in a controlled area.


3. Administration of the Law
  1. Trade secret protection: Continue to carry out patent portfolio, and the number of patent applications matches our R&D resources to ensure that [R&D results] are fully protected. (the details of R&D results management mechanism as Annex)
  2. Trade secret protection:
    Through the registration and management of trade secrets, record and integrate trade secrets with our competitive advantage to strengthen our operation and intellectual property innovation.
  3. Ownership of R&D patents and protection of achievements:
    In order to avoid future disputes, all employees (including: consultants: etc.) must sign the employment contract (the content of the employment contract as the text). The employment contract discloses that employees shall comply with the relevant laws and regulations such as the Intellectual Property Rights and Trade Secrets Law, and agree that all creations (including copyrights, invention patents, utility model patents, design patents and other creations) EOI or its legal representative shall have the copyright economic rights (or be the patentee, the owner of trade secret, etc.), and EOI or its legal representative shall have all the rights of the intellectual property; the ownership of R&D patent and protection of R&D results: EOI may pay the appropriate remuneration for employees in accordance with EIO’s policies or the content and validity of the creations etc. Employee should notify EOI in writing and inform the creation process during the period of the employment contract.

As of January 31, 2025, EOI has obtained the following patents:

Implementation of improvement mechanisms


  1. Legal staff should provide the status of intellectual property maintenance report to the top management at least once a year, and conduct education training for employees to strengthen the awareness and understanding the protection of intellectual property. The 2023 report had been reported to the Board of Directors on August 4, 2023 and December 28, 2023.
  2. Improvement plan:
    The implementation of the intellectual property rights management regulation shall be audited every year, and be optimized in accordance with intellectual property related laws and regulations amendment to ensure the compliance of the management system.
