●Promote energy-saving lighting, environmentally sustainable management




In the early days of its establishment, EOI knew that in the future, friendly elements such as energy saving, carbon reduction, and environmental protection that are critical to human survival will inevitably become issues that governments around the world will attach great importance to. It is also an inevitable measure that the earth must take to move towards sustainability. Therefore, in addition to starting with LED and laser testing instruments, red and green laser modules, EOI took the lead in entering the field of energy-saving products in 1995 to become the first company in Taiwan to invest in LED energy-saving signal lights. The Company is also one of the first few companies in the world to invest in energy-saving signal products, and once became the world's largest LED energy-saving signal light supplier in 2009. In that year, the market share in Spain was as high as 90%, and we obtained certification in more than 40 states in the United States. Until today, we rank first in the Taiwan market for a long time.




The earth's resources are limited, and the concept that economic growth should be based on the protection of the earth's sustainable environment continues to ferment. Since the establishment of the Company, EOI has continued to develop and improve LED energy-saving related products, including LED streetlights and signal lights, and continued to promote energy-saving products. From 1996 to October 2021, nearly 300,000 LED streetlights and 3.8 million signal lights were sold. It is hoped that the energy-saving and long-life LED components can assist sustainable operation of the environment.




●Industrial upgrading, connecting the Internet of Vehicles




In addition to the research and development of energy-saving products, EOI has also begun to plan smart city solutions in recent years, upgrading energy-saving streetlamps to smart streetlamps, using intelligent systems to reduce street lamp maintenance costs and strengthen the secondary energy-saving effect of LED energy-saving street lamps. In addition to the poor efficiency, the carbon footprint caused by the inspection of the streetlights should not be ignored. If the smart streetlights are reported daily, the maintenance efficiency will be improved, and the carbon emissions caused by the inspection will also be reduced. On the other hand, if dimming is performed at night, the energy consumption of streetlamps can be reduced by more than 50%.




At present, smart streetlights use the pole as the medium for 5G signal transmission. The multi-purpose function of one pole is used to simplify maintenance and operation costs, and high-density deployment of smart poles can be used to configure micro 5G base stations to effectively fill areas where 5G coverage is insufficient and save the precious land resources. In addition, EOI also actively recruits system talents and joins relevant public associations and alliances, hoping to add value to the original products across fields, enhance the Company's competitiveness, and connect the Internet of Vehicles with good products to provide road users with a safer and more comfortable traffic environment.
