EOI Achieves TUV NORD ASPICE CL2 Certification, Strengthening Automotive Electronics R&D Capabilities

As the global automotive industry advances towards intelligence and electrification, supply chain requirements for software and hardware development quality and maturity are becoming increasingly stringent. Leveraging its outstanding R&D capabilities, EOI has successfully obtained the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) Capability Level 2 (CL2) certification from TUV NORD, further solidifying its technological leadership in automotive LED modules and lighting solutions.

ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination) is an internationally recognized standard for assessing automotive electronics and software development processes. CL2 (Managed Level) signifies that a company has established measurable, controlled, and continuously improving software and system development processes. Achieving this certification demonstrates that EOI Optoelectronics has met international standards in key areas such as requirements management, system and software design, validation testing, change management, and quality assurance, ensuring process traceability and consistency while enhancing product reliability and functional safety.

TUV NORD Taiwan, with ASPICE-certified Mandarin -speaking assessors, ensures that the certification process adheres to stringent international standards while minimizing language barriers and improving evaluation accuracy. This certification not only strengthens EOI Optoelectronics’ competitiveness in the global automotive supply chain but also lays a solid foundation for expanding international markets and partnerships with OEM/ODM clients.

As ASPICE becomes a crucial benchmark for global automakers in evaluating supplier development capabilities, EOI will continue integrating ASPICE processes to enhance software engineering capabilities while aligning with international standards such as **ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ISO 21434 (Automotive Cybersecurity).** This ensures compliance with the stringent requirements of future intelligent driving and electric vehicle markets.

Looking ahead, EOI will use ASPICE CL2 as a new starting point to further refine its development processes and technical expertise. Through innovative R&D and exceptional quality, the company aims to deliver safer, smarter, and more reliable automotive lighting solutions, elevating Taiwan’s automotive electronics industry to international standards.
