Integrating Virtual and Real Technology to Go Global: Industrial Technology Research Institute(ITRI, Taiwan) Collaborates with EOI to Seize Opportunities in 3D Entertainment.

The international trend of the 'New Generation Virtual Ecosystem' is still on the rise. EOI collaborates with the Industrial Technology Research Institute to develop an immersive interactive experience. On the opening day of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2024) in the United States, they held a collaboration ceremony. They launched the 'Hyper-Realistic 3D Interactive System' to seize opportunities in the 3D entertainment market, showcasing the latest global trends in 3D display and AI artificial intelligence technologies, impressing the entire audience!

From right to left, the key figures include Fanny Huang, President of EOI; Dr. Kuo-hsin Huang, Chairman of EOI; Wen-shong Liu, President of ITRI; and Zhao-shian Lin, Deputy Director of ITRI.

Jessica Boothe, the Director of Market Research for the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) in the United States, personally experienced and commented that this year's exhibits are spectacular, with each aligning with current technology trends. The main trends featured at CES 2024 include AI, sustainability, and inclusivity, all of which are well represented. For example, the 'RoboTwin Metaverse Smart Factory' with AR elements allows users to enter a simulated factory environment to solve problems remotely, saving time and costs, which is beneficial for small and medium-sized enterprises. This is an excellent example of practical applications of sustainability and AI. Additionally, generative AI applications such as the 'Pet Camera' and 'Hyper-Realistic 3D Interactive System' are also very interesting.

After personally experiencing the "Hyper-Realistic 3D Interactive System," Jessica Boothe, the Director of Market Research at the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), happily took a photo with a generated avatar from the system.

Dr. Kuo-hsin Huang, Chairman of EOI, explains that the company is already an important member of the global automotive lighting supply chain and possesses the capability for vertical integration in the LED industry, from upstream to downstream. This collaboration with the Industrial Technology Research Institute on the "Hyper-Realistic 3D Interactive System" marks a significant advancement. Unlike traditional methods that require multiple cameras, this system needs only a single 2D photo to generate a 3D digital twin within 30 seconds. It integrates various technologies like instant background removal, generation of the back model of a person, facial expression changes, natural language voice, AI question-and-answer, and facial recognition. This enables rapid creation of personalized, interactive 3D models. Lian Jia Photoelectric aims to use next-generation LED display technology to create a unique virtual intelligent display studio, venturing into new markets in film, entertainment, and artistic performances.

Wen-shong Liu, President of the Industrial Technology Research Institute, comments that CES is one of the most influential tech exhibitions globally, offering opportunities to find diverse potential investors, technology licenses, and venture capital. The Institute has long been dedicated to developing smart display interactive technology. This collaboration with Lian Jia Photoelectric to create a new smart display interactive experience aligns with the goal of diversifying product lines in Taiwan, the United States, and Europe.

The exhibition is bustling with popularity, attracting interviews from international media.

The innovative development of the "Hyper-Realistic 3D Interactive System" has garnered considerable interest from many attendees, including representatives from well-known companies like Google and Netflix. They were particularly intrigued by the real-time generation of characters and are optimistic about the potential applications as digital AI continues to evolve.
