First Creation of a Cross-Enterprise ESG Communication Platform in Science Park: EOI Gathers Neighboring Companies to Jointly Reduce Carbon Emissions
Faced with global sustainable development goals and severe climate challenges, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) has become the common language of sustainable competitiveness for businesses. As pioneers in technological innovation and key members of the global supply chain, science park enterprises face the important task of establishing mutual trust and consensus, and synchronizing with the latest international trends.
EOI has pioneered a self-initiated cross-enterprise forum among Taiwan Science Park enterprises, hosting the 'Gathering Carbon Reduction Forces ∞ Building a Sustainable Vision: 2023 Science Park Cross-Industry ESG Symposium'. This initiative promotes learning and sharing among park enterprises, with major technology companies in the Zhunan Science Park, such as Coretronic Corporation, Innolux Corporation, and King Yuan Electronics, serving as speakers to exchange valuable experiences in carbon reduction transformation and collectively achieve the common goal of global sustainability.
EOI Initiates Cross-Industry ESG Symposium in Zhunan Science Park, Promoting Collective Carbon Reduction
More than 20 companies participated in this forum, attracting nearly a hundred attendees. Representatives of neighborly and friendly businesses in the Zhunan Science Park, as well as technology enterprises from the Hsinchu Science Park, and those from New Taipei City and Taoyuan, came to exchange ideas. They supported EOI's call for 'shared travel' to implement the spirit of ESG energy saving and carbon reduction.
This is a pioneering initiative of cross-enterprise platform among Taiwan Science Park enterprises. Representatives from the Hsinchu Science Park Administration and the Taiwan Science Park Industries Association attended and praised the initiative. Ms. Fanny Huang, the President of EOI participated online: 'As a director of the Science Park Industries Association, we hope to achieve more breakthroughs in promoting park innovation, industrial cooperation, and international competitiveness. By initiating the '2023 Science Park Cross-Industry ESG Symposium', we have created a rare platform for resource sharing among park enterprises. We have a responsibility to continue this kind-hearted initiative, working together to enhance the competitive advantages of our neighborly and friendly businesses, for mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.'
During the meeting, through group discussions, each enterprise in the park generously shared their specific practices for implementing carbon reduction, carbon neutrality, and zero carbon goals. They raised the issue of the scarcity of green energy in Taiwan and expressed the hope that park enterprises could cooperate to gain group purchasing power, changing the current situation of companies struggling alone. This important report, summarizing the voices of Zhunan Science Park enterprises, will be submitted to the park authorities to seek more innovative resources and help enhance the overall carbon reduction competitiveness of the park's technology enterprises. |
